The government of Albania believes free economic zones will spur the development of the Albanian economy and has launched the new Technical and Economic Development Areas (TEDAs) programme. The Ministry of Economic Development, Tourism, Trade and Entrepreneurship (MZHETTS) will soon start the tendering procedure for the selection of developers in these areas. The Germany-based market leader in packaging solutions Multivac is ready to invest €15 million into the construction of a new production facility in Bulgaria. This became clear at a meeting of the Minister of Economy, Bozidar Lukarski, with Christian Trauman, Manager of “Multivac”, and Ivaylo Dimitrov, who manages the Bulgarian branch of the German company.
