Serbia again tries to privatise JAT Tehnika

The Ministry of Economy of Serbia has announced a call to privatise its 99.4 per cent share of JAT Tehnika, the country’s state-owned air maintenance company at an initial price of 10.24 million euros, or 50 per cent of the company’s assessed market value, Serbian news agency Tanjug has reported.

According to the Serbian press, requirements for potential domestic and foreign investors include at least five years of professional experience in aircraft maintenance, an individual or consolidated annual income of at least 40 million euros, as well as relevant certificates.

The deadline for submitting investment bids is October 4.

The Serbian government’s privatisation tender comes after no bids were submitted to the original tender announced in June, and which closed on July 31.
