Latvia in the EU: Competitive Europe, Digital Europe, Engaged Europe

Enhancing competitiveness and growth, making use of the digital potential and strengthening the role of the European Union in the global arena are the main objectives of the Latvian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, which commences on January 1, 2015.

“We are proud to hold the Presidency because we believe that being part of the European family makes us more prosperous and safer,” says Laimdota Straujuma, Latvia’s Prime Minister.

The government of Latvia has set up the Eu2015.lv website which will be a dynamic platform that not only contains key information but also acts as a digital business card for Latvia in the European Union.
