Economy builds bridges in Mostar

Over 150 business people and political leaders from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, Macedonia and Montenegro took part in the 5th Regional Conference Business Plus, whose title was “Economy builds bridges”, held on 3 July 2015 in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Serbian Economy Minister Zeljko Sertic opened the conference and pointed to the need for business networking. “The task of the economy is not only to build bridges, but to create them symbolically as well, by developing closer ties, particularly in the territory of the former Yugoslavia,” he said.

He also invited the participants to take active part in the social and political life. “Join associations, work together and expand your businesses. I came from Belgrade to Mostar to show my support because the idea of regional networking and strengthening of the private sector is imperative for the government of Serbia,” said Sertic.

The participants included Mostar Mayor Ljubo Beslic and BiH Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Mirko Sarovic, Chairman of BiH Presidency Mladen Ivanic and Chairman of the BiH Council of Ministers Denis Zvizdic, as well as Director of the Agency for Investment and Competitiveness Damir Novinić.

The next conference will take place on 24 October in Skopje.
