Investment in Ukraine up by almost 22 per cent in first quarter

According to the State Statistical Service of Ukraine, capital investments into the country’s economy grow by 21.7 per cent during the first quarter of 2019.

Of total capital investment of 108.3 billion hryvnias made between January and March, the largest investments were in Ukraine’s industrial sector, which grew by 38.2 per cent. Investing into the construction sector increased by 13.2 per cent while the agricultural sector saw an increase of 2.5 per cent.

The statistical office added that more than 74 per cent of all capital investments (80.2 billion hryvnias) were financed by companies themselves, while an additional 9.1 per cent was funded by credits and loans.
