IBRD guarantees Deutsche Bank loan to Ukraine

Ukraine has received a loan of 529 million euros from Deutsche Bank under the guarantee of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Ukrainian Ministry of Finance has confirmed.

According the ministry, the loan will be disbursed in two tranches: the first amounts to 240 million euros with a maturity of four years while the second will total 289 million euros with a 10 year maturity date.

The loan was approved by the Board of Directors of the World Bank upon its Policy Based Guarantee.

The payment provided by Deutsche Bank is a continuation of a World Bank loan announced last year when Ukraine received 349 million euros, also under IBRD guarantees.
