Armenia’s prime minister, Nikol Pashinyan (pictured above), has said that the number of registered economic entities actively paying taxes grew by close to 25.8 per cent during the first half of 2019 compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
According to RFE/RL’s Armenian service, the number of economic entities subject to paying taxes had reached 136,311 by July 1, 2019, of which 95,196 were active taxpayers.
As of July 1, 2018, close to 101,200 taxable entities had been registered, with only around 70,600 of them having been active taxpayers.
