Serbian state aviation company Air Serbia will operate subsidised services from Konstantin Veliki Airport in Niš to twelve international destinations.
According to the Serbian government, the services will help link the city and neighbouring municipalities with the rest of Europe.
From June 15, Air Serbia will launch flights to Nuremberg, Hannover, Friedrichshafen, Frankfurt and Karlsruhe in Germany, Salzburg in Austria, Bologna and Rome in Italy, Gothenburg in Sweden, Budapest in Hungary, Ljubljana in Slovenia and Tivat in Montenegro.
The government, which took over of the management of Niš airport in 2018, aims to support economic development and regional tourism by connecting the Niš region with the Serbian diaspora across Europe.
