romania motorway under construction

Croatian civil engineering company IGH will design and build a 26-kilometre leg of a Romanian motorwayΒ from Suplacu de Barcau to Chiribis in the northwest of the country, having secured a contract worth 3.43 million euros.

The cost of the whole project is 76.4 million euros and will be funded by the European Union. The Romanian National Company for Road Infrastructure Administration has selected IGH to carry out the projects in cooperation with Romanian engineering firm Constructii.

β€œIGH is more than welcome on the Romanian market,” said the company’s advisor for the Romanian market Tibor Gibanica. β€œAfter two years of preparation, we have finally won a big job. I am convinced that this is just the first of many big jobs IGH will get for the development of new motorways in Romania.”

The company’s long term plan is to open a branch office in Romania and continue efforts to connect and cooperate with local and foreign partners that are already active on that market.
