Demand for electric cars in Ukraine increased by a remarkable 53 per cent during the first seven months of this year in comparison with the corresponding period of 2018, Open4Business Ukraine has reported.
According to Ukrautoprom, Ukraine’s car and motors association, 4,035 electric vehicles were registered between January and July, with 3,742 of them being privately used cars.
At the same time, close to the whole of Ukraine’s primary electric car market (91 per cent) is made up by used cars.
Nissan’s Leaf remained the leader in the number of purchased passenger cars while Tesla’s Model S was ranked second, followed by BMW’s i3 in third.
