Russia’s Danaflex opens 100 million-euro plant in Czech Republic

Russian flexible packaging producer Danaflex has opened a new production plant in the Czech Republic in what the firm hopes is an entry point to European Union markets.

Danaflex group extrudes a range of multi-layer barrier films and produces printed tube, pouch and other flexpack packaging for the food, beverage, pet foods, household chemicals and pharma sectors.

The 15,000 square metre site in the Czech Republic represents an investment worth 100 million euros and includes a production hall, storage area and administration offices. More than 180 new jobs have been created, with the plant scheduled to raise the workforce to around 245 in the future.
