Ljubljana-based energy equipment maker Kolektor Etra will produce, supply and install power transformers for the Finnish national electricity transmission grid operator Fingrid.
It is the largest deal in the company’s history, worth 20 million euros.
Fingrid vice-president Timo Kiiveri said that the Slovenian company had been selected due to the quality of its technical solutions, the good efficiency of its transformers and the favourable price.
For Kolektor Etra, which last year reached the 100 million euros revenue mark for the first time ever, the Nordic countries are the most important market, accounting for almost half of exports, and 40 per cent of total sales.
