Moldova Digital Summit 2025: Advancing regional innovation and digital leadership

The Republic of Moldova is poised to reinforce its position as a regional leader in digital transformation with the upcoming Moldova Digital Summit 2025 (MDS25), taking place in Chișinău from June 5 to 7.

Building on the momentum of its previous edition—which attracted over 3,000 participants, facilitated more than 500 B2B meetings, and marked the launch of the award-winning EVO e-governance application—this year’s summit aims to provide a comprehensive platform for innovation, investment, and strategic dialogue.

Held under the patronage of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, Dorin Recean, and co-organised by the Invest Moldova Agency, Start-up Moldova, BusinessVoice, alongside Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalisation of the Republic of Moldova, in partnership with ATIC, MITP, e- E-Governance Agency and Tekwill, the event will bring together leaders in digital policy, emerging technologies, and private sector development.

MDS25 will focus on exploring the latest advancements in the global tech landscape while positioning Moldova as a strategic destination for digital growth in Eastern Europe.

Moldova’s emergence as a regional digital hub

Over the last decade, Moldova has taken significant steps toward building a robust digital economy. Central to this transformation is the Moldova Innovation Technology Park (MITP)—Europe’s first fully digital e-Park—providing a streamlined business environment and a single tax rate of seven per cent. MITP has attracted over 2,200 companies from more than 40 countries and supports a highly skilled workforce of nearly 24,000 professionals.

This sector now contributes approximately five per cent of Moldova’s national GDP, driven by consistent double-digit growth and a policy environment designed to encourage innovation, entrepreneurship, and foreign investment.
