Kosovar Albanian pop singer Dua Lipa, who emigrated to the UK – alone – as a teenager, won best British female and British breakthrough artist at the 2018 Brit Awards in London on February 21. Lipa’s hit single New Rules recently reached a billion views on YouTube: the first song by a female act to achieve the milestone.
