Latvia’s DEAC looking for data centre partners

Latvian based DEAC, one of Europe’s leading data centre operators, has completed the first stage of construction of its new data centre in Latvia’s capital Riga.

The total investment in the new data centre exceeds 10 million euros.

DEAC is now actively searching for enterprises interested in large scalable data centre capacities with the potential to become the facility’s co-owner/long-term partner.

“Creating data centres as a joint project is becoming a trend. This is a great opportunity to be a co-owner of the new facility and influence developments,” said Andris Gailītis, DEAC’s CEO.

The expansion of the DEAC facility comes at a time when companies are seeing rapid growth and need to expand their businesses.

“Increasing data volumes requires IT infrastructure expansion, efficiency improvements with tailor-made IT solutions and a balance between CAPEX and OPEX. Currently, we have seen higher interest from the UK due to Brexit. Companies are willing to diversify risks as part of their plan B and cover their European operations with the services of a back-up data centre,” added Mr Gailītis.
