Republic of Moldova: Your next destination for investments

Over one thousand participants are expected to take part in this year’s most important business event in the Republic of Moldova, Moldova Business Week 2024.

This year’s event will take place from September 16-20 in various regions of the country. The motto of the current edition is, Republic of Moldova – Your next destination for investments.

For five days, in four regions of the country—Chișinău, Bălți, Edineț, and Ungheni—participants of will discuss the investment climate of the Republic of Moldova, attracting funds, and developing sustainable partnerships.

Additionally, new investment profiles and collaboration opportunities that open for the Republic of Moldova with the start of EU accession negotiations will be addressed. 

According to Dumitru Alaiba, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development and Digitalisation, “The Republic of Moldova has a lot to offer for investors. Moldova Business Week 2024 is the perfect opportunity to create valuable partnerships and explore the unique opportunities our country offers.

“We invite business people, foreign and local investors to join us. It will be informative and useful. Moreover, Moldova Business Week is a unique opportunity to discover how the Republic of Moldova can be your starting point for business success.” 

The main topics addressed during Moldova Business Week 2024 will focus on Information and Communication Technology, the agri-food industry, automotive and electronics, pharmaceuticals and medical tourism, energy and infrastructure, tourism and wine industry, and non-residential real estate.

This year’s edition will place special emphasis on promoting the country brand, steps taken in this regard, future projects, and investments. 

Natalia Bejan, General Director of the Invest Moldova Agency, adds: “At Moldova Business Week 2024 we are going to reveal how one of the world’s smallest countries has become a significant player in the global market. Join us to learn how Moldova made it among the top wine exporters, produces one per cent of the world’s car components, supplies electronics for public transport in over 140 cities around the world, and ranks in the global top 10 for exporting grapes, plums, apples, walnuts, and cherries.
