Poland’s Innova Capital buys Romanian chain of opticians

Polish investment fund Innova Capital has bought the Romanian optician Optical Network for an undisclosed sum from the Cypriot-based Cylatrea Investments, profit.ro has reported.

Optical Network currently operates 55 stores across Romania, 38 under the premium Optiblu brand, and 18 Klarmann stores which sell less expensive eye wear. The company employs 300 people.

In 2018, Optical Network recorded sales of almost 58 million lei (12.25 million euros), and profit of 3.8 million lei (802,863 euros).

Optiblu was founded in 2004 as an offshoot of the Sensiblu pharmacy chain.
