London event to showcase potential of Uzbekistan’s IT sector

Uzbekistan’s IT sector is experiencing remarkable growth with exports expected to reach 300 million US dollars this year, up by over 100 per cent compared to 2022.

Meanwhile, companies resident in its IT Park plan to jointly employ 24,000 IT specialists, a third more than last year. That, alongside the favourable tax regime and additional incentives, offers business and investment opportunities for UK companies.

On November 29 London will host a conference dedicated to showcasing Uzbekistan as a new outsourcing hub. The aim of the conference is to showcase the outsourcing potential of Uzbekistan and foster fruitful collaboration between Uzbekistan and the IT industry of the United Kingdom.

The event will gather up to 20 leaders from British IT and BPO companies, along with prominent experts and enthusiasts from the outsourcing sector. The conference will commence with a welcoming address by a representative of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the United Kingdom.

Following the opening, a panel discussion will focus on the benefits of collaboration between the IT industry of the United Kingdom and IT Park Uzbekistan.

Representatives from Global Tech Advocates, Global Sourcing Association, Stephen Simeon, and Abdurakhim Kadirov, the director of Realsoft, a resident company of the IT Park, will participate in this discussion, which will be moderated by Andrew Wrobel, Emerging Europe’s founding partner and leader of the Tech Emerging Europe Advocates community, part of the Global Tech Advocates network.

The concluding part of the programme will feature a presentation by the IT Park, introducing the new all-in-one programme and initiatives for export-oriented companies, Zero Risk and Local2Global.

Additionally, details of the Offshore Outsourcing Tour, scheduled for next year, will be announced.

There will also be ample time for networking, providing an opportunity for representatives from the technological industries of the United Kingdom and Uzbekistan to discuss mutually beneficial collaboration possibilities.

Registration for the event is available here until November 22.
