Exports of goods from Bulgaria to the EU and to third countries increased in May by 7.3 per cent compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 4.64 billion leva (2.37 billion euros). Imports decreased by 0.6 per cent to 5.13 billion leva, preliminary data from the National Statistical Institute show.
The total foreign trade balance in the fifth month of 2019 remained negative at 493.8 million leva, compared to a deficit of 838.2 million leva in May 2018.
