Robotics X launches new Slovenian R&D centre

Tech company RoboticsX has launched a new research and development centre in Ljubljana’s BTC, one of the largest business, shopping, entertainment, recreation and cultural centers in Europe, in order to develop smart robots in cooperation with Yaskawa, the Japanese robotics company.

“I am proud of my team and partners. We are proving the superiority of Slovenian technical know-how,” said Peter Boras, co-founder and CEO of RoboticsX which, although based in Munich, relies heavily on its Slovenian team.

“We have bold plans. Together with the BTC administration, we are checking the possibility of expanding the development facilities to 6000 sq m in the future, as we expect to employ about 350 people,” he added.

Over the next few months, RoboticsX will collaborate with well-known companies including John Deere, Continental, Eberspächer, Tenneco, EEC and others, operating predominantly in the automotive and robotic sector.

“Our goal is to build a state-of-the-art company that will deliver tomorrow’s customer needs in the automotive industry and beyond with commodity technologies and top engineers,” said Rok Prešeren, co-founder and technical director of RoboticsX.
