Armenia Invests 46.8 Million US Dollars in Developing Business Sector

The Armenian government is to invest almost 47 million US dollars to enable the Development Foundation of Armenia to reach its targets for 2018, as well as rebranding it Business Armenia. The organisation is responsible for finding and increasing investment in the country.

For 2018 Business Armenia intends to create an e-platform which will present the country’s investment opportunities and export potential as Invest Armenia and Made in Armenia. Business Armenia also plans to provide a customer relationship management system which will stress the effectiveness of the services the organisation provides to beneficiary companies. It is also going to create a Hot Line to respond faster to the problems faced by investors or exporters.

The board of Business Armenia also discussed 2017, during which around 75 companies attended 11 international exhibitions, exchanged contacts with international business representatives and signed new contracts. Business Armenia developed a database for 300 FDI companies hosted 20 business missions as well as carrying out three outreach missions in potential markets.

Business Armenia also began a programme providing consultation services for investors for at least two months, with no charge. Several companies have already taken advantage of logistic, legal, accounting, tax and business consulting services.

Most crucially of all, Business Armenia has now created a network of representatives and has 35 offices in 25 countries around the world.
