Armenia and China agree visa exemption deal

The governments of Armenia and China have signed a visa liberalisation agreement, mutually eliminating visas for people holding ordinary passports.

Aside from the mutual visa exemption, Armenian foreign minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and Wang Yi, his Chinese counterpart, signed a biletaral agreement on extradition and a protocol on food safety.

“We reconfirm our determination to develop our relations based on mutual respect between our two nations. As old civilizations, we know each other well,” the Armenian foreign minister said in a statement.
