TurkStream to pass through Bulgaria, Hungary and Serbia

The second strand of the Turkish Stream gas pipeline will pass through Bulgaria, Hungary and Serbia.

As previously stated by gas operator Gazprom, the first branch of the pipeline will begin to work at the beginning of 2020.

As for the second, instead of passing through Greece as originally planned, Russia’s Energy Minister Alexander Novak last week announced a new route through Bulgaria. Construction work will depend on the accompanying gas transport infrastructure of European countries.
