Czech president causes stir with Kosovo comments

Czech president Miloš Zeman is considering the withdrawal of his country’s recognition of Kosovo, after meeting with his Serbian counterpart Aleksandar Vučić.

Mr Zeman said that Kosovo does not belong to the community of democratic states because it is led by war criminals.

In response to Mr Zeman’s statement, Kosovo pulled out of a joint Visegrad 4 (Hungary, Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia) and Western Balkans summit scheduled to be held on September 12 in Prague.
