Germany’s bank Commerzbank is interested in opening an IT hub in Sofia for more than 400 highly qualified IT professionals, announced the Bulgarian minister of economy Emil Karanikolov.
According to Mr Karanikolov, Commerzbank’s investment is yet another proof of the positive development of the IT sector in Bulgaria and it will contribute to the consolidation of the image of the country as an attractive and competitive investment destination.
“We count on Commerzbank’s investment to provoke the interest of other leading German investment companies in Bulgaria as well,” the Minister said.
During the first half of 2019, over 62,200 people were employed in the IT sector, with activities carried out by about 12,498 companies.
